Changelog & Updates

We're always improving. Here's what's been added, fixed, and upgraded recently.

July 2026

Racing: a live favourites market, real odds, and a smarter tote
Race Night has had its biggest upgrade yet. As players back runners on their phones, the big screen becomes a live favourites market: the most-backed horses rise to the top with their backers and odds moving in real time. All prices now read like the course - 3/1, EVS, 9/10 - and the charity tote splits the pool into win and place pots, prices every runner, and shows the host exactly what each place pays and the even split per winner. The charity cut starts at 0% and is entirely yours to set. There is a proper results board with 1st, 2nd and 3rd on podium steps, a dedicated Close Betting call, host-set race lengths so the tension builds through the night, audio routing for video races (or none at all, if you are playing your own music), a Show Players button that puts everyone's photos on the big screen, and sponsor names and logos on the race and the result. As always, no money moves through the app: it does the maths, you handle the cash.
The website, rebuilt
We have rebuilt the whole site. Every game now has its own page, including Let's Go Poll, Let's Go Letters and Bank or Bust, which we had been selling on every plan without ever telling you what they do. The pages are faster, they work properly on a phone, and the pricing table is finally readable with a thumb. Under the bonnet, the game line-up, the plans and the prices now come from one file, so a page cannot quietly go out of date again. If it does, the build fails.
Signing in takes you straight to your games
It used to drop you on an account page and make you find your way to the Host from there, and then ask you to activate the licence key you had just typed in. Now you sign in and you are looking at your games. That is the whole point of signing in.
Nothing to print, and we should have said so
The site used to tell you players scan a code printed on a card. They do not. The code goes up on the big screen and they point a phone at it. Which means there is nothing to print at all: no bingo books, no answer sheets, no codes to run off, no raffle tickets. Nothing to reorder and nothing to run out of halfway through.
Racing: a proper race night, in one tap
Racing is live. Hit Quick Play and you are straight into a ready race with a field of daft-named runners. They actually race down the track, with overtakes, a photo finish, and a winner celebration, and it settles itself. Under Customise you can switch to real archive footage of historic races, or run a charity tote that counts up on the big screen. No money goes through the app, ever. Let's Go Games runs the race and tells you who won. Anything owed is between you and the room, exactly as it is on a paper race night. Included on Professional and above at no extra cost. See Racing.
Racing player phones are now a read-only display
Player phones show the field, the odds and the result, and nothing else. They no longer take a stake. The host runs the card and handles any money the same way they always have. Simpler for you, and a lot simpler for us to be straight with you about.
New game: Bank or Bust
Boxes, offers, and one person sweating in front of the whole room while sixty people shout at them to take the money. This one runs on the big screen with a single player in the hot seat, so nobody else needs a phone at all. On every plan, including Starter.
New game: Chase the Joker
A wall of cards with one Joker hidden in it. Keep turning cards to build your score, or bank what you have got and sit down smug. It runs in about five minutes, which makes it the perfect thing to fill the gap while you sort the next round out. Every plan.
Poll, Letters and Bank or Bust moved up to the main games
They were sitting in the mini-game grid, and they are too good for it. All three can carry a chunk of an evening on their own, so they now sit alongside Bingo and Quiz. Nothing changed about who gets them: they are on every plan, Starter included.
Nothing is sold separately any more
Racing and Top Percent used to be extras you bought on top. They are not. Professional is all 17 games, one price, and that is the end of it.

June 2026

New mini-game: Let's Go Poll
Get the whole room voting in seconds. Let's Go Poll is a brand new phone-play mini-game with four ways to ask: a multiple-choice vote, a quick this-or-that, a rating or score (great for a 1 to 5 or a 0 to 10 night-out score), and a live word cloud where everyone types a word and the popular ones grow biggest on the big screen. Show the results building live, or keep them hidden and hit Reveal for a bit of drama. Switch between bar charts and a donut, and let players tap emoji reactions that float across the screen. It is included on every plan.
Quick Quiz reborn: build your own, save it, play it live
Quick Quiz is now a proper host-built quiz. Write your own questions (multiple choice, true or false, or type-the-answer), set a timer and double-points round, or let the AI generator fill it for you, then save the whole quiz to play again next week. On the night it runs as a fast, score-as-you-go game: the quicker players answer correctly the more points they score, with a live leaderboard between questions and a winners podium at the end. Players see the answer split on the big screen so everyone can react together.
Control who joins your game
Some venues, schools especially, want their game kept to the people who are meant to be playing. Now you have three controls, all under Venue Setup, "Who can join" on your host home, and all off by default. Tap Require a join code and a short code appears, shown only to you (and your Host screen, never the TV). Share it with your players, and from then on anyone trying to join must enter it, so a non-playing customer who never got the code can't get in even while the room is still open. You can also Lock joining once everyone is in (no new players at all), and set a Max players limit. Players already in are never bumped when you set a code, lock, or hit the limit, even if their phone sleeps and reconnects. How to control who joins.
Picture Round: live leaderboard and a winners podium
Picture rounds got a big upgrade. The running leaderboard now shows on the big screen and on players' phones, so everyone can see how they are doing, and a Reveal Winners moment puts the top three up on a gold, silver and bronze podium. Rounds are scored out of 10 with a one tap Score Round button, and answer matching is more forgiving, so a surname for a full name or a close enough answer still counts.
Party Packs are now a £9.99 24-hour pass
Party Packs are simpler and cheaper. Each themed pack, with a Quiz, Music Bingo and a Picture Round for your event, is now a one off £9.99 for 24 hours, not a subscription. Buy it whenever suits, then start your 24 hours when your event begins, so you can buy ahead with no rush. Want to run it again another day? Just grab another pass.
Quiz: play on paper or on phones, your choice
Pick how your quiz runs at the start. Phone Play has players answer on their phones with live scoring, or choose Paper Play for a traditional pen and paper night, which hides the player chrome on the audience screen and gives you a clean question and answer sheet to read from and mark. Same quiz, two ways to play.
Quiz: build and save your own rounds
A new Quiz Builder lets you create your own quizzes and save your favourite rounds to reuse another night. Browse the 16,000+ question bank, mix in your own questions, and build a personal library of round templates, then load a saved quiz straight into the game.
Stuck on a phone? Tap Refresh
Every player screen now has an always-visible Refresh button in the bottom corner, so a player whose card or question freezes after a signal blip can get going again with one tap instead of hunting for the browser reload. It is gentle on purpose: spamming it does nothing harmful and it quietly hands over to auto-reconnect if the connection is still settling.
Bingo: clearer NEXT BALL and Undo
The Bingo host controls got a tidy-up. NEXT BALL and Undo now sit in a solid docked bar that is easy to find and tap, with a clearly readable Undo. And when you undo a ball it now reverts everywhere in step, on the big screen and on every player's phone, not just your host screen, so a misfire is a clean one tap fix for the whole room.
Bingo: quieter by default
Fresh Bingo sessions no longer pipe ball-call and event sounds through the venue PA by surprise. Number Calling now starts Off and Media Sounds start on the host device only. You can still switch any sound on in Bingo Settings whenever you want it.
Mini-games: no more ghost players
In the quick phone-play mini-games (Higher or Lower, Heads or Tails, Last Standing, Quick Quiz), players who quietly drop off now age out of the list on their own, so your player count stays honest instead of carrying leftovers from earlier in the night.

May 2026

New game: Karaoke
Search any song, queue it from wherever you are standing, and let the room score the singer out of five on their phones. Winners get a podium with photos. The host keeps the play, pause and skip buttons, which you will need.
Music Bingo: the music video now plays in the app
Music Bingo is a proper music night now. Pick from 36 curated playlists, grouped by Decades, Seasonal, Collections and Genres, and the music video plays right on the big screen for the whole room. Every song marks off players' cards the instant it starts, wins verify themselves, and the audience screen mirrors your host exactly, so pause, skip or scrub and the room stays perfectly in sync. Switch the audience between a clean full-screen video, a split video and song board, or the full song board. On the host the song list is alphabetical with a "Show played only" filter for quick claim checks.
Seeing "Unsafe app blocked"? One-minute fix
Some phones show an "Unsafe app blocked" message when opening an older saved copy of the app. If you see it, tap OK, remove the Let's Go Games icon from your home screen, then visit letsgogames.co.uk and tap Install app again - that refreshes you to the latest version. Your sessions and licence stay safe because they live on our servers, not on the phone. Full steps: help/play-protect.
Phone-play reliability hardening
A run of behind-the-scenes fixes so a brief WiFi or mobile-signal blip never leaves a player stuck. Cards and questions now self-recover with a Retry option instead of a frozen waiting screen, the connection dot tells the truth (green only when everything is really live), and a host phone lock or incoming call now pauses the game for a few minutes instead of ending it for everyone.

April 2026

Launch day: pricing update and Host App positioning
Pricing updated to Starter (£29.99/mo), Professional (£59.99/mo), and 24-Hour Home Pass (£14.99 one-off), all prices including VAT. The Host App now runs on phone, tablet, and laptop - same app, any device. Paper Play mode and Custom Music Round uploads are both live in Quiz today.
Host App: run the whole night from any device
Every mobile host page (Bingo, Quiz, Music Bingo) gets a launch-ready upgrade. One-tap Cast to TV with QR + 6-digit code. Sticky state strip at the top so you always see the current ball or question. Fat thumb-zone primary button in the bottom 40% of the screen. Always-visible undo pill. Live, Slow, or Offline connection indicator with a "Reconnected" flash on recovery. Battery warning when you drop below 20%. Wake lock keeps your screen lit for the whole session. Two-tap confirmation on End Game. Full landscape layout. All of it designed so any staff member can host confidently from a phone while walking the room.
Live crowd reactions
Players now get six reaction buttons on their phone (fire, applause, celebration, laughter, amazement, and love) that fly up the venue TV screen in real time. Rate-limited and capped so the GPU stays smooth. An optional crowd energy meter on the audience screen fills as the room gets hot. Works across Bingo, Quiz, and Music Bingo.
Laptop hosting reliability + pro host tools
Hosting from a laptop gets the same reliability layer: wake lock, battery warning, a global error boundary that never white-screens mid-game, and a "Reconnected" toast when Realtime recovers. Close a browser tab mid-Bingo? Reopen and get a clean "Continue game / Start fresh" prompt rather than losing state. Plus: press ? for a floating keyboard-shortcut cheat sheet, and S for a shoutout that flashes the audience TV with a custom welcome message. A host notes scratchpad saves your mid-game jottings to the session.
Bingo: Generate Cards button + late-joiner support
Hosts now control exactly when bingo cards are dealt. Players who join after the game starts get cards dealt automatically the moment the host hits Generate. Card state persists across phone refreshes - if a player loses signal and reconnects, they pick up exactly where they left off.
Music Bingo: auto/manual mark mode
Players choose how to play - auto-mark songs as the host ticks them, or mark themselves for that classic bingo feel. Hosts get show/hide controls for the song board and live player list, and a smoother winner reveal.
Player photos and live presence everywhere
Player names now show with their photos across every game view - waiting screens, audience displays, scoreboards. When someone closes their tab, the player count updates instantly so hosts always know exactly who's in the room.
Quiz: number pad + scoring polish
Numerical questions now show a dedicated number pad on phones - no more fumbling with the keyboard. Fixed a scoring edge case where some answers double-counted, and the mini-game break now properly restores the quiz state when you return.
Instant real-time phone play
All player pages now use live WebSocket connections for instant updates. Bingo balls, quiz questions, and game events arrive on player phones in under 100ms - previously updates took 3-5 seconds. Claims and answers are also sent back to the host instantly.
Cross-device mini-games
Heads or Tails, Higher or Lower, Quick Quiz, and Last Standing now fully work cross-device for the first time. Players on their own phones can join and play mini-games during intervals - not just on the host's device.
Connection quality indicator
Player phones now show a connection quality dot - green glow for instant real-time connection, amber for polling fallback. Helps venues quickly identify WiFi issues.
Reduced server costs by 90%+
Player pages now poll the server every 60 seconds as a fallback instead of every 3-5 seconds as the primary path. Server heartbeats are skipped when real-time connections are active. Massively reduces function invocations per game session.
Live player count on waiting screens
The "YOU'RE IN!" waiting screen now shows player count updating instantly as other players join, creating excitement and social proof before the game even starts.
Live player join feed on audience screens
When players join, their name animates onto the TV/audience screen in real-time. Sliding badges appear as phones connect, creating excitement before the game starts.
Live answer race counter
During quiz questions, the audience screen shows "3 of 8 teams answered..." ticking up in real-time. Flashes "ALL IN!" when everyone has answered. Builds tension for the whole room.
Heads or Tails live vote split
The audience screen shows an animated HEADS/TAILS split bar updating in real-time as players lock in their choices. The bar shifts as votes come in, building tension before every flip.
Dramatic claim incoming overlay
When a bingo or music bingo claim is submitted, the audience screen shows a dramatic "CLAIM INCOMING!" animation with build-up before revealing the claimant's name.
Quick Quiz speed badges
Answer within 3 seconds and get a "FIRST!" badge showing your reaction time. Creates a competitive speed element on top of the knowledge challenge.
