How to Run Let's Go Letters

Three word games in one. Guess it, unscramble it, or make the longest word you can out of nine letters.

1

Pick Letters, Then Pick the Round

From the launcher, tap Let's Go Letters, then choose the round type. You can change it every round.

- Word Race: the whole room races the same hidden five-letter word on their phones, with colour clues on every guess and the first letter given away
- Scramble: a jumbled word on the big screen. Fastest to unscramble it wins
- Longest Word: nine random letters, and the longest real word anyone can build out of them takes it

2

Set Your Own Word, If You Want One

On Scramble you can type your own word instead of taking ours. The venue name. The bride and groom. The in-joke that has been running since March. It lands better than anything we could pick.

3

The Room Plays

Players are already in on the session code. Answers come in on phones, the big screen shows the state of play, and the quicker you are the more you score.

Longest Word is checked against a proper dictionary on our side, so nobody is winning with a word they have made up.

4

Finish on the Podium

After the last round the winners podium goes up on the big screen. Then pick the next game and carry on.

Pro Tips

  • One round of Word Race takes about four minutes. It is a filler, not a night
  • Longest Word divides a room straight down the middle by age. Lean into it
  • Letters is on the 24-Hour Home Pass, Professional and Enterprise plans
  • A custom Scramble word is the cheapest way to make a hired-in games night feel like it was written for the room
