Bingo Audio: Off, Host, Audience, Both

Pick which device speaks numbers and plays effects. Stop the awkward echo.

1

Where to Find It

Open Bingo on the Host App. Tap the gear icon to open settings, then look for Audio Source. Four options: Off, Host, Audience, Both.

2

Off - Silent Bingo

No audio anywhere. Numbers are called only via the screen. Use this if you want to call numbers yourself with a microphone, or for hearing-sensitive environments.

3

Host - Through the Host Device

Numbers and effects play through whatever you're holding (phone, tablet, laptop). Best when your host device is plugged into the venue PA system. Players' phones stay quiet.

4

Audience - Through the TV/Audience Screen

Numbers play through the TV or projector that runs the audience view. Best when the TV has its own speakers and the venue is small. Use this if you don't have a PA system.

5

Both - Host and Audience Screens

Plays through both. Useful for very large venues with separate audio zones. Warning - if the two devices are close together you'll hear an echo. Don't use Both unless they are physically far apart.

Which Should You Pick?

  • Pub with PA system: Set Audio Source to Host. Plug your phone or laptop into the venue mixer.
  • Small room with TV speakers: Set Audio Source to Audience. Volume up on the TV.
  • Hearing the same number twice? You're on Both - switch to one or the other.
  • Hosting on the mic yourself? Off. Read the numbers from the screen into the mic for more theatre.
